Reading
Library books will be changed on Fridays. Please can your children bring in their reading diaries in Fridays showing they have read 3 times that week.
Handwriting and spelling
In year 4, we would love to see more children improving their handwriting and spellings, so any practice at home would be greatly appreciated.
Our school topics!
We have 3 fantastic topics this year.
In Autumn term, we will be studying the life and times of the Romans including an amazing trip to a real Roman fort!
In Spring term, we are studying Water. This will include rivers, the water cycle and flooding. Also, we will take a trip to Bewdley to visit a town known for flooding.
In summer term, our topic is the fantastic Rainforest! The children will explore the layers of the rainforest including the animals found on each layer and their habitats. During this term, the children will take part in a residential to Bell Heath.
PE Days
In Autumn One, Year 4 PE days are on Thursdays and Fridays and swimming is on Fridays. While one class is swimming, the other will be participating in PE within school.
In Autumn Two, Year 4 PE days will switch to Tuesdays and Fridays.
In spring one, Year 4 PE days will switch to Wednesdays and Fridays.
