Free School Meals During Lockdown

In line with government guidance school will be providing packed lunches or meal vouchers to families eligible for economic free school meals during the school lockdown period.

From 6th January to 22nd January children will be provided with a packed lunch consisting of a sandwich, piece of fruit, snack (such as a yoghurt) and a packet of crisps.  To avoid waste, you will be contacted by school to confirm if you require this provision.  Families that confirm packed lunches are required will be able to collect their lunches from school at prearranged times.  You will be notified by text when you are able to collect.

From Monday 25th January until February half term school will provide meal vouchers through the national government voucher scheme provided by Edenred.  This scheme will work in the same way as it did last summer.  You will receive an email from Edenred from Monday 25th January containing details of how to select and redeem your food voucher for the supermarket of your choice.

Sandwell LA will provide meal vouchers through Wonde for the February half term period.  You will receive an email and/or text from Wonde week commencing 8th February 2021.  This scheme will work in the same way as it did over the Christmas period.

From Monday 22nd February school will revert to the Edenred voucher scheme.  You will receive an email from EdenRed week commencing 22nd February.

If you are not currently in receipt of free school meals but believe you are entitled, please contact school.

If your child is attending our Critical Worker and Vulnerable Children provision and is entitled to free school meals, they will be provided with a hot meal from school's caterer.  Children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 that are attending this provision will receive a meal free of charge as part of the Universal Free School Meal scheme.  All meals to be provided in school should be pre-ordered via the School Gateway as normal.
