In the Autumn term, our focus will be on biomes of the world and how animals and plants have adapted over time to suit their habitats.
Our 'Stunning Start' will be a trip to Edgmond hall where pupils will develop collaboration and leadership skills whilst building shelters, lighting fires and solving a selection of team challenges.
In English we will be reading 'The Boy Who Biked The World' by Alistair Humphreys and using it as an inspiration for our writing.
In Art, we will explore the work of Vincent Van Gogh and then use his landscapes and style of painting as inspiration to paint our own local landscapes using acrylics on canvas.
In Science we will discover more about the life and work of key scientific figures including Carl Linnaeus and Charles Darwin.
Spring Term
In the Spring Term, we will be focussing on China.
In English, we will be producing a newspaper report about a natural disaster.
We will also be studying Light in Science, learning about the Shang Dynasty in History and creating a mythical creature in DT.
