Parent PSHE, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) Consultation
Parent PSHE, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) Consultation
Dear Parents and Carers,
From September 2020, it was a statutory requirement that all schools in England and Wales are teaching Relationship, Health and Sex Education as a fundamental part of the curriculum. Due to Covid 19, the date to implement this curriculum was reviewed and schools were given until Summer 2021 to begin this process.
As part of implementing the RSHE curriculum, schools must consult with the children, parents, staff and governors to ensure there is a general consensus on our approaches to policy and the curriculum content.
At Highfields, we value your opinions and input regarding the education of your children and would like to ensure you are consulted in any policy change regarding this part of the curriculum.
We will be starting our consultation process on Friday 11th June 2021; the consultation will close on the Friday 2nd July 2021.
As part of this, parents, staff and governors, will be asked to read through the policy, where there is information on all of the content of the curriculum. Please see draft policy below.
In order to provide your feedback to this consultation, we would appreciate your completion of the following questionnaire:
